Job Title: Car Driver Part -Time
Reports to: Transportation Supervisor
FLSA: Non-exempt
Summary:
Safely transport students to and from various schools. Student students may have an IEP or other special circumstances. Training will be provided per students special needs and/or circumstances.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the behavior of students being transported
- Assist in loading and unloading special needs students and to monitor their ride to and from school.
- Assist in managing the seating of the student so that everyone is safe and secure
- Basic first aid
- Oral and communication skills
- Health and safety regulations
- Policy and procedures related to student discipline in vehicle
Requirements:
- Tact, patience, and courtesy with students, parents, and drivers
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information
- Ability to monitor passengers
- Should be in good physical condition to be able to secure and/or strapping a child into a car seat or booster seat, hooking up a child in a safety vest or fastening a seat belt.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
