Job Summary

 

Gifted Education

Provide services for gifted and talented students in Kindergarten through 12th grade by working in collaboration with administrators and teachers to provide supplemental support for increasing advanced student achievement for all students, specifically gifted and talented students, through staff development, instructional planning, and classroom support for teachers through both a pullout and push-in program.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

Minimum Training and Experience

A four-year degree from an accredited college or university on the state of Virginia's approved list.  Hold a Virginia license in the appropriate teaching area or eligibility for a Virginia license with application for the Virginia license with 90 days of employment.  If acquiring a provisional license, show continuous yearly progress toward achieving a clear Virginia license within three years.
